  1. I use Lactose free whole milk. a measured 100ml, once a day in my coffee. Im prepared to sacrifice the 3 grms of carbs

    • thats a great attitude πŸ™‚ at the end of the day as long as you track it an know how much youre having its not going to sneak up on you πŸ™‚

    • very good question, Ill make sure to address it in the video about Popcorn, in brief technically macros wise it could be ok, but it still spikes glucose

  2. Let the milk go sour or ferment it with kefir. This should transform the milksugar into lactic acid. Or not? I am not really an expert on this and I found nothing on the internet as in how much sugar remains after these procedures. I guess no sugar at all, but I would like a more qualified opinion.

    • Youd think so but nutritional labels alas disagree πŸ™ kefir is even higher than yogurt in carbs, and we have to be very careful about which yogurts we can have too

  3. Can you have milk if you don’t drink tea or coffee ….everyone talks about these topics as if every single person drinks tea and coffee when they don’t

    • ahhaha well thats the most common wya to have mlk and the reason why people usually ask, but no, especially on its own considering how big a glass is milk is still not advised on keto πŸ™‚

  4. Ginger, could you use cream, but add water till it looks (and tastes like) milk?

  5. I only enjoy coffee with cow milk. The other alternatives ruin the taste of coffee.
But, I put 20 to 30 ml in. 3 times a day equals between 60 and 80 ml per day = 2,7 – 3,6 gr sugarcarbs. Not a big problem

    • hello991122 meee too I tried almond milk in home and in starbucks and it’s a no for me 😷

  6. Im not a fan of almond milk at all. Ive been exposed to it for years and think its just disgusting. Stateside, there is coconut milk in cartons as well as hemp and macadamia. I love these for steaming. I add a tbsp to the coconut milk and it makes perfect latte foam.

  7. Can I consume the whole carton through out the day then pls reply ???

    • @Gingers Keto In The UK I was just asking cuz my mom use 2 % milk, I just wanted 2 know if its k

    • have you watched the video? you easily use over 150ml of milk in one go, that means a good 6g carbs, if you need o stay under 20g daily for keto no, you might want to look into aternatives with less carbs or dilute cream

    • @Gingers Keto In The UK I think the point was a cup of tea is what 50ml max of milk. Not the size of a latte

  8. Almond milk is so light in texture, I add a little bit of xanthan gum and whizz it up to make a thicker hot chocolate. Its soooooo Good!

  9. Love your videos Ginger, but your intro music is Waaaayyyy too loud, compared with the rest of your audio track… it always makes me jump! lol

  10. Another helpful video. Just wanted to let you know that in the US we do have the option for unsweetened cashew milk. I prefer it to almond milk because it is much creamier.

    • I love unsweetened Cashew milk too! Its the closest to getting that creaminess of milk and has a light taste so you can use it in sweet or savory dishes/drinks.

    • Yes the heavier the better. Soured are higher in carbs due to cultures

  11. yes I had a massive shock with flat white which was 10g each and they werent even big!

  12. Hi Ginger – funny story for you. My sweet husband also follows keto but he mainly depends on me feeding him. lol…. he brings home the bacon…I fry it up in a pan. Well he sees that I make coffee with a wee bit of half and half or HWC. He started stalling and he couldnt figure out why. Well one day he was picking up something for me at sprouts and he also picked up some half and half. The next day Im opening the fridge and I see that there is a strange bottle in the fridge. Well.. it was the sprouts brand of half and half and it was virtually EMPTY – He drank almost all of it in a days time! I laughed so hard…. hes given up the half and half and is now 2 lbs from goal… dropped a quick 5 lbs. Oh that silly man! Be blessed Ginger… always a joy to see you!

    • ahahah I know, seems so harmless cause its liquid, its milk, how can it harness all those carbs? sneaky milk!!!

  13. Buy UHT unsweetened Alpro when on offer Tesco & Asda are 3xΒ£3 and Sainsbury s Β£1 each at the minute, stocking up! If its the fresh stuff, freeze it in portions!

    • Gingers Keto In The UK ….Ketogenic diet works well with controlling my sugar levels… And I am a Keto Vegetarian.

    • absolutely seriously :)I stated in september 2013 to try and work on my pre diabetes and it worked so well I just continued and I will be continuing still πŸ™‚

    • Because you do not look like a person on keto. And 5 years!!! I mean, seriously?

    • Oh I am, have been for 5 years. Why would I have a keto channel otherwise if I werent? πŸ™‚

    • always check the label cause most of the times it has sugar added

  14. Personally if I want something a little more like milk I just add a tablespoon of HWC to a cup of almond milk. Creamy and yummy.

    • @Gingers Keto In The UK ohh okay thank you so much because im French so i didnt know this term.. I struggle a lot to find a substitute to milk in my coffee because i love it sooo much 😩. I will try heavy cream with water then thank you a lot 😊

    • @Juliette Gdw Heavy Whipping cream in the US is the heaviest cream meaning more fat and less carbs. In the UK youd be looking for double cream πŸ™‚

  15. Please let me know if i can take 100ml of whole milk in full day. This quantity is enough to kick me out from ketosis?????

    • i mean its up to you, i personally wouldnt and dont cause thats 5g of carbs gone for just 100ml of milk, when i can have either almond milk that has no carbs, or at worst diluted cream in water which, being 1.5g carbs per 100ml, dilutin some 10/20ml in water would still just be 0.2g carbs…
